Farmers Restoring Ecology and Soil Health
Repurposing our land for preservation
This is the story of the land, and the joys and struggles of generations of individuals and their families on a small 4th generation heritage farm outside of Dusty, Washington. It documents one family’s history of solitude, pride, and toil; the simple beauty and tragedy of epic life cycles, measured in days, months, and years. This 640-acre farm was established in 1868 and finds itself in a fight common to countless other small farms across the country – pressure to sell to the highest bidder and a real threat that the land will be converted back to conventional agriculture. Bryan Jones grew up on this farm and has worked the land for almost 30 years. He would like the opportunity to create something different.
